What We Believe

As a PCA church, we affirm the core beliefs outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith. We believe the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and life.

These core beliefs are summarized below.

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

2. God

We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

3. Mankind

We believe that all people are created in God's image with inherent dignity, yet through Adam's fall, sin entered the world, distorting that goodness and separating us from God. Due to the fall, all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.

4. God’s Purpose of Grace

We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.

5. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.

6. The Covenant

We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.

7. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.

8. The Future

We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.

9. The Christian Life

We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our Church Covenant

Having been brought by God's grace to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and having been baptized, we do now, in the presence of God and this congregation, solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

  1. We confess our need of the mercy and grace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ and affirm our wholehearted trust in Him as our only hope for salvation.

  2. We receive and rest upon Christ alone for our redemption, acknowledging Him as the risen Lord, and we commit to walk in obedience to Him as those transformed by His Spirit.

  3. We resolve, with God’s help, to live as followers of Jesus, forsaking sin, resisting the devil, and pursuing a life that reflects the holiness and love to which we are called.

  4. We commit to support the worship and work of this church, submitting ourselves to its teaching, its leadership as it aligns with God’s Word, and its mission in the world, by prayer, service, and financial support.

  5. We promise to seek the peace and purity of this church, to walk together in brotherly love, to practice mutual encouragement and discipline, and to promote the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen. (2 Cor 13:14)
